Pink Stargaze Lilies, purple and yellow peruvian lilies. Yeah I like peruvian lilies. Anyways, this one is ok. I do like stargaze lilies too and it looks really pretty when it fully blooms. He pick this one cus he remembered I said lilies represent true love and I’m his one and only. (yellow roses also means friendshi) … He confessed later that it was either this or carnations.

Oh yeah, he picked pink cus they didn’t have yellow or orange.

Have you ever been in love?

To only find out that the person you love, love someone else. It hurts doesn’t it? Especially when the person that receives the love is the one dearest to your heart.

I’ve been in that situation. I know this guy who loves unconditionally but sadly she end up loving his bestfriend. He never asked for her love in return. He stood beside her and cheered her on. He was a dear friend, one I will never trade anything in the world for.

I thought of this story because I just finished watching Rak Sam Sao. I started on this movie a couple of weeks ago but I tuned out since at that time it did not captured my interest at all. Tonight however with my mood for drama, I decided to give it another try since I wanted to know why Koy won the award. In a sense I’m still dont agree to the win since I thought Peak did a much better job but that’s another review for another day.

The story was of 3 bestfriends. Yue (Pei), Fah (Peak), and Nam (Koy) and their love triangle. Nam have always love Yue but he in turn loves Fah. Fah never knew of Yue’s true feelings until Nam told her. Fah decided to give Yue a chance with the encouragement of Nam. All should be well but Fah has a terminal illness. Because Yue took such great care of her, Fah found herself falling in love with Yue as well only to find out one night after Nam was raped by the guy she was dating that Nam also loves Yue. Because of her illness and because Nam is the friend she loves the most, Fah ran away. Yue found himself lost. Meanwhile Nam found herself pregnant and wanted to abort her baby but Yue talked her out of it by saying he will be the father of her child. Struggle between the heart that loves Yue and the heart that love Fah, Nam decided to find Fah. She follows Fah to the island where she was hiding and found that her friend is in her deathbed. Fah and Nam had a heart to heart. Nam told Fah that yes she does love Yue but he loves her, a lot. She decided upon herself to tell Yue where Fah is.

Fah spent the last day of her life in Yue’s arms. Before she died she asked him to promise that he will love her til the day she die. He quicky promise before she added, “then after you will love Nam.” Not long after that, she passed on.

Nam left for England and had her baby girl. 5 years later she return but did not intend to go see Yue. However fate intervene and they met anyways.

The story was very well written as the movie was very well produced. I can see why they recieved as much recognition as they did. All 3 partied did such an amazing job. I think Peak really shine in here and Pei’s emotion at the end when Fah died was tear jerking. I for one can see the hype surrounding Koy and Pei. Now I can also see why Polyplus quickly snatched him for a lakorn.

This movie consist of three different love story that somehow links together.

It started with Pakorn (Chakrit) and Phon (Napasakorn) arguing about their relationship. Phon is leaving for a trip and Pakorn asked him when he’s going to return. He said he doesn’t know for what reason he should return. They started to argue about their lack of time together or the lack of understanding. Pakorn then told him that if he does decide to return and he’s not there to pick him up, then Phon should understand.

Pakorn started to mess around with another guy but he found that he can not get over Phon.

The second love story is an older couple, Arunya who is a writer and Krung the owner of an amusement park and Pakorn’s father. They met many years ago and had a short relationship. Arunya disappeared on Krung and they met again.

Arunya and Phon met on the train and they exchanged stories.

The third love story is actually a play that Phakorn directed but written by Arunya. 4 people, 2 couples. The couple that betrayed and got involved played by Noon Boonyasak and Chris some how started to like each other when Noon’s fiance went back to Japan. They crossed the line and had an affair with one another.

In the end, Arunya advised Phon not to run away from the problem and don’t allow it to pass on with time without trying to find a solution just like in the story that she wrote. Could it be the story of her pass that coincidently get directed by the son of her ex lover? It is.

Pakorn asked his father why he did not go meet her and left her to waited? He asked what if she waited a while longer, would he had gone? His father did not answer but instead tell him to not be late because he may be a second too late and the one he love may not wait.

In my own words:

Well what can I say? Nothing surprises me about Chakrit anymore. The guy is a true actor. There’s not a role that he can not or dare not do! Not to mention his acting is really superb. I mean how can I not adore this guy. Sure my opinion may be biase but can you name a Thai guy who would dare to take such a challenge and does it well? I mean you can say he may secretly be gay all you want, I don’t believe that though. Is Heath Ledger gay? No, he’s an actor. You can talk about ego and pride all you want with other actors, but as an actor, you act and you have to do it very well. Chakrit takes his acting seriously. People often say he exagerates and it doesn’t look natural. Well that’s an opinion. I think he acts very well which is why he recieves many oppurtunities. I applaud Chakrit and Napasakorn for daring to play this role and play it well in a culture that in reality still can not accept a homosexual relationship.

As for the story, it’s quite confusing and touching at the same time. You struggle to keep up with each story, to remember which one was scripted and which was real. You feel for the couple that love each other but can not understand one another or stop it from drifting a part. You also sympathize with the relationship forbidden that end with forever longing. How can one forgive something that you yourself help create that hurt others even though that was not your intention? You can’t.  You can’t help but ache along with a story that probably reflects reality. Last but not least, you can not help but weep with regrets.

My spot got jacked!

OH MY GOD! I went to the bathroom and when I got back, THE SPOILED BRAT JACKED MY SPOT!!!! She was still sleeping on the tile in the hallway when I left the room. I wasn’t even gone that long! Geesh!

Well anyways, that is Kaylie, my 15 month old lab and yes, that is what she does all freaken day long! “Aren’t labs supposed to be active?”.. Well uh that was what I thought too. Apprently not Kaylie. Her favorite pass time is sleeping or sleeping.

Is that really common? or is she just lazy?

Well I thought she was just lazy but then I read that dogs sleeps all freaken day! They sleep anywhere from 12 to 18 hours a day! They sleep when they’re tired and they sleep when they’re bored. They just sleep and sleep. I mean if I wake her up to play, she’ll get up immediately to play with me but when she has enough, she just turns her little tail at me and goes back to sleep. She snores when she sleeps too. And boy let me tell you, her snores are LOUD!

Oh wells, better her sleeping then her up barking constantly like those little chihuahuas. Gosh I so hate dogs who barks constantly. My old neighbor’s dog used to bark like that, all freaken day she would bark bark bark. When she’s not barking, she’s whining and when she’s done whining she goes right into barking. Sometime I just wanted to duct tape her mouth.

Kaylie rarely barks. She only barks if someone is at the front door or she barks when she hears the doorbell (even from the tv). She doesn’t bark at strangers. Oh wait! LOL she barks at Mexicans. I don’t know how she knows they’re Mexicans but everytime she sees one, she barks. Not a mean growl bark or anything, just her normal loud barking. Wierd girl.

I approached Kristy yesterday since she is the art person to go to and asked her if she can create a banner for my blog. She was kind enough to agree and she got them done in less then 24 hours! WOW! If it was me, I don’t think I would be able to get it done in a year and even so, it wouldn’t be as good. It’ll probably be so crappy that even I wouldn’t want to rate my own banner haha. So anyways I love the colors because it’s so easy on the eyes and I especially love the looks cus it looks like a scrapbook! My co-manager at work would love this cus she loves scrapbooking.

So Kristy, thank you darling for such wonderful banner! My blog owe you one!

Tai played by Bank Clash is an ex-con who after being released from jailed got into more trouble because of some illegal underground streetball dealing known as Fireball put his twin brother Tan into a coma. His brother got involved in the illegal activities because he was trying to make enough money to bail Tai out of jail. Feeling guilty for being the cause, Tai decided to join one of the team owned by Hia Den under the disguise of his brother in order to investigate what happened. Tai learned the rules of Fireball and the rules are: there are no rules. You can kick, punch, cripple, or even kill. If someone is down, you can not substitute. There are no bench players. Who you start with are who you will finish with, sometime literally.

After his first match, a young man, Than, approach Tai thinking he was Tan, asked him how did he survive since he thought Tan was defeated by his feet. Tai was so angry that he attacked Tan. Oh wait there is a rule to Fireball, and that is you can not attack any of the basketball members outside the court or else you will be assassinated. Tai was luckily saved by his coach. His coach told him that whatever resentment or grudge for the guy, save it for the court. Inside the court he can do anything, but outside he can’t. If he want to seek revenge, he must reach the championship since the guy was also last year’s Fireball’s winner. Tai finally found the guy who may had put his brother in a coma. Time for revenge.

In the middle of one game, one of his teammate died because the other team brought in weapons. Tai was so distraught and angered that he killed the guy who killed his teammate. After the tragedy, the team played harder and rougher but to no avail. Meuk, one of their teammate tried to sell the game. He wanted to leave the team, get out completely so that he can take care of his family and raise his unborn child properly. It didn’t work, the team won but that did not make the fans happy. They were so angry for the betrayal that they killed Meuk. Tai was once again distraught that he asked to quit the team but then when he found Pang trying to prostitute herself to pay off debts that Tan created by losing last year’s game as well as Tai for leaving the team, he was forced to go back and play. Tai also found himself in another predicament, he fell in love with his twin’s girlfriend.

Tai found out that Tan, Than, and another guy was on the same team and they sold out their own team in order to make money to get Tai out of jail. They bet with an outside ringer that their team would lose. However Tan was betrayed by Than cus Than did not trust Tan to follow through and so he decided to kill him.

The final game finally came and they were down to 3 players. Tai now faces the bastard who took his brother’s life. Than stabbed Tai but Tai was able to kill Than with the hoop.

One brother’s life for another, as Tai drop to the floor, Tan woke up from his coma. He woke up with a vengeance and seek to kill all the leaders involved not by streetball but by old fashion bullets.

In my own words:

I was fairly surprised by this movie. I didn’t think that I was actually going to enjoy it but then again how could I not? I mean like seriously it’s BANK CLASH! The love of my life! The hottest guy on the face of this earth! Plus his last one was great too lol I have the dvds upstair. The s is not a typo lol. I have one just to keep and the other one to watch. Hey it’s clash alright! lol. But anyways, the thing I like about this movie is the action. The thing I don’t like about it is that there’s too much fighting and not enough basketball. Yes I understand that this is supposed to be a hardcore streetball but at least show that it’s a streetball and not just a bunch of guys getting together to brawl! I think each game score was probably um 1-0! GRRRR!!!! I mean like Hot Shot, that was good streetball mix with martial arts. At least when Kane physically hurt the other team players, he also show some streetball skills.

And omg that love scene was like grrrrr!! lol just kidding!! I was freaken jealous! My gosh I wonder if his gf was jealous too. lol. But then again maybe not cus she probably does that herself every freaken day with him. The girl got 1 scene, she got it every day! omg jealous again! Well whatever. You know, she kinda looks like his gf anyways. Anyways back to Pang and Tai, so does Pang really love Tai or does she love the image that looks like Tan? Who knows! With that image how can you NOT fall in love with him? haha ok ok there I go again.

The final scenes had better moves, you see more of the ball lol. The water scene was cool too. And omg was it gruesome! Definitely not rated pg 13.

BioFit does NOT fit very well

So I have this addiction for bras and it’s more then ever now due to where I work. The last time I took inventory, I believe I have 2 months supply without having to repeat wear. It’s that crazy.

For those who are familiar with Victoria’s Secrets should be familiar with their new bra called the BioFit. When I first saw it, I loved it! It’s so comfortable and it molds to your form perfectly as it should. Each cup has different lifts cus seriously some are heavier then others. And if you have larger size breast like D’s or DD’s, you’ll notice that while some bra looks very nice on a B cup person looks lumpy on the D’s. BioFit doesn’t do that. It fits every cup perfectly due to the different positioning in paddings.

In my own words:

Now you’re asking why the “not fit very well”? Well, like life, not everything about everything is perfect. Although the cup itself is perfect and I so love it, the thing I find irritating is the shoulder straps! They keep falling on me! Unlike the Angel bra (which is my fav by the way and yes I do have one in almost every color and style), the BioFit can only be adjusted half way, only up to the top of your shoulder. Not only that but the strap is pretty slippery so it adjust itself through out the day when I move my arms up and down til it completely just hang off my shoulders. And so the straps kept sliding off my darn imperfect shoulders! I just need maybe a few cm more!!!!! I don’t want to be mean and blame my genes or ancestors for such imperfect shoulders so I’ll blame VS!

How I fixed the problem:

Since I irrationally bought 10 pairs of the bra, I had to find a way to be completely satisfied with it. I mean I refuse to allow 10 unworn bras hanging in my closet and I never like the idea of returning things. So I took out a little sewing kit and stitch it together!

Ok let’s get it out of the way, The argument is: Urban Fantasy or Romance?

After reading, it’s clearly Urban Fantasy.

Now that the genre has been established, let’s get on to the purpose of my blog.

Lover Avenged is the seventh book in the Brotherhood’s series and the first hardcover. The first 5 are more paranormal romance but then that’s another story.

There are three different stories in this installment and they do tie everything together. You have the main story of Rehvenge and Ehlena and side story of Wrath/Brotherhood and John/Xhex.

Rehvenge and Ehlena:

Rehvenge have been keeping a deadly secret of his real identity. He is actually a sympath which they have the ability to manipulate emotions in others so that they can aborbed their energy. Now sympath are nearly extinct and the one left are in hiding due to their ability. The other race are afraid of their no match powers. Rehvenged is also a club owner as well as a drug lord. He provide for human as well as his kind, the vampires. Some of the brothers also purchase from him. Rehvenged is ruthless but he also has a heart. He love and care for his mother as well as his sister who is now married to one of the brothers. He also has major issue and that is being blackmailed into a once a month sexual relationship by his half sister. The half sister is a true sympath and psychotic because she uses scorpions during their intimacy.

Ehlena on the other hand is a a gentle girl from the upperclass whose father has lost his mind. She is also from Rehvenge’s race but of a different class. Her class, the glymera, is what you call “aristocracy”. She also work as a nurse in the hospital caters to the vampires. She first met Rehvenge at the hospital when he comes in for his treatment.

The attraction for both character is there but Ehlena tried to denied it and Rehvenge just think she is too good for him.

Wrath and the Brotherhood:

Wrath is the leader of the race or you can call him the king. Before he took the throne he was your regular brotherhood who goes out and hunt the lesser. Lessers are desouled humans made by the Omega and their purpose is to hunt down and exterminate vampires. However now that Wrath is the king, he is not allow to go out and risk his life and the race to hunt. That only sat well with him for a couple of books but then when they started to lose some brothers, he felt that it is his rights to go out there and protect his people, secretly. For months no one knew, not even his wife Beth. When they all found out, they were pretty pissed but they know they can’t stop him so they just have to watch his back for him.

John and Xhex:

John was a deaf foster boy who did not know what he is until he met the brotherhood. He came into his “adulthood” a few books back. When you go into your changes, you have this urge, this hungry which is why a Chosen (female vampire who are bred to meet the blood needs of an unmated brotherhood) is always present after the time of change. However when John went through his change, he was not able to go through with his urge.Thus he secretly remains a virgin.

Xhex is Rehvenge’s head of security and she also harbor the same secret as him, the identity of being a sympath.

John and Xhex met at her club and I guess you can say he fell in love with her but I’m not so sure of her feelings for him. When Xhex offer herself to John, he failed to quench his thirst which made him really embarrassed. However later on in the book, they got together.

In my own words:

As you can tell, this book was seriously hard to review. I can not believe that I chose this book to be the first one I review on this blog! I guess if I can somewhat do an ok job on this, I’ll be able to do better on others? (let me know!)

Anyways, yes as I stated this book has 3 stories that do tie in at the end, I promise. It got me pretty confused and I stopped many time to process the information. It took me until 1am to finish and I started at about 7 or so pm. (Yes I seriously do read that fast lol). For those who want to read this, you have to read from book 1 or else you won’t understand anything. There are some books that you can start in the middle but this is definitely not one of them. For those who are romance addicts like I am, don’t expect this to be pure romance.

The things I have problem with is that I don’t believe there is a real relationship development between Rehvenge and Ehlena at all. There’s also no closure on how Ehlena feels about Rehvenge “career”. Maybe we’ll find out more in the next installments? I do hope so because the author made it seem that she is not ok with drugs or mafia lifestyle and that is exactly what Rehvenge is.

However I do like how the author wrap up this book though. She made Xhex disappear and John realizing that she is his mate! Oh wait I didn’t mention that after John was able to quench his thirst, he started to treat Xhex like she’s just another Chosen which is just leaving her after the deed. But yeah, he vow to find her and will crush anyone who harms his female, whether she wanted to be or not. And he was not the kind of male who was going to sit on his __ when his mate was out there in a world of hurt.

Now how can you not be anticipated for John’s book?!?!
